"A home is the largest purchase you will make in your lifetime."
We have all heard this one, and for the vast majority this is
the truth! This decision affects your quality of life. Where you
live every day and what things you have realistic access to such
as, entertainment, schools, restaurants, golf courses, green
spaces, etc.
Also, this decision has a huge impact on your financial life. You can buy a home that appreciates 5-20% per year, of you can buy a home that you can't sell in 5 years. Huge difference!
Representation
All Sellers have their listing agents representing them. Therefore,
you should have representation as a buyer. Otherwise, this is a unfair transaction. I'm here to
represent you, the home buyer. I will consider all aspects in
your search including: the home, schools, communities, commute,
investment, future resale and anything else important to you. I
will then guide you through the entire negotiation and purchase
phases.
Have you ever been out with an Agent, asked his opinion and received a response like this: "I would never buy this house because...."
I've given this completely HONEST response many times! Later, after my Buyers have located the right house, they always thank me for "saving" them from the wrong home. This is the kind of representation YOU need!
It's still location, location, location!
Since Atlanta is so large and offers so many choices, it's
best to start with location. Take what's important to you,
whether it be the work location, schools, Lake Lanier, a golf
course, etc., and make that the center of your search. From your
center, analyze how far away you could reasonably live, given
the routes and traffic patterns. Then, figure out what
neighborhoods and homes match your search criteria within this acceptable area.
The easiest way to accomplish this is to SEARCH BY MAP.
